UND WIEDER EIN 75-JÄHRIGER: RANDY MEISNRT
Jens-Uwe BerndtTeilen
The bassist and singer achieved the greatest popularity with the Eagles, which he co-founded in 1971 and to which he belonged until 1977. He wrote numerous songs for the Country Rockers such as "Take The Devil," "Is It True?" or "Try And Love Agian", took over the lead vocals on "Take It To The Limit" and provided on five albums of the Eagles with his playing for a relaxed rhythm framework. Due to internal band disputes, Meisner left after six years, founded the Silverados, played with Black Tie and toured as the Robert-Meisner Band. His vita would not be complete without mentioning his solo albums and recalling his involvement with Poco and the Stone Canyon Band in the late '60s.
