TONY BENNETT ZUM 95. GEBURTSTAG: IM DUETT AN DIE ABSOLUTE SPITZE
Teilen

Bennett, who turns 95 on August 3, sang mainly Jazz and Pop, had a few number-one singles in the U.S. and the U.K. in the 1950s, but didn't sing his way into the hearts of Rock fans until the 2000s, when he brought some of the biggest names in Pop and Rock to his side to sing duets on the albums DUETS: AN AMERICAN CLASSIC (2006) and DUETS II (2011). They included Paul McCartney, Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Sheryl Crow, Willie Nelson, Lady Gaga, Amy Winehouse ... DUETS II also gave Bennett his first number one album in the US. Another collaboration with Lady Gaga in 2014 resulted in the LP CHEEK TO CHEEK, included Easy-Listening Pop and Jazz and also reached the top position in the US album hit list. Bennett has already ended his career a few years ago, suffering from Alzheimer's disease.
