SPIEGELANZUG UND GLATZKOPF: SLADE-GITARRIST DAVE HILL WIRD 75
Jens-Uwe BerndtTeilen
Slade Gitarrist Dave Hill wird am 4. April 75 Jahre alt.
Slade guitarist Dave Hill turns 75 on April 4. He is the last remaining original member of the group he helped launch in 1966. Initially marketed as a skinhead band on the advice of the record company, Slade were among the main representatives of British Glam Rock. In the look Dave Hill implemented the scene-typical extremes most consistently: Legendary, among other things, his mirror costume, in which he even wore mirrors in his hair. In general, his hairstyles were usually quite adventurous. Starting with the haircut reminiscent of a cap with the much too high set fringe to the shaved head. After the breakup of Slade in 1992, he continued the band with drummer Don Powell two years later, initially as Slade II, then under the old name.
