SMOKIE: NACH UTTLEY JETZT AUCH ALAN SILSON 70 JAHRE ALT
Teilen
After Terry Uttley (9. 6.), another founding member of Smokie, Alan Silson, will turn 70 on June 21. The guitarist did not write many songs for the band, but when he did, excellent pieces came out (for example "What Can I Do"). In 1996 he left Smokie for - as it was said - health reasons. However, in 1995 the Smokie singer Alan Barton had died in an accident with the tour bus, which may have strengthened Silsons in his separation intentions. From 1999 to 2003 he was still on the road for a while with Mickey Finn's T. Rex.
