ROSE-TATTOO-SIRENE ANGRY ANDERSON WIRD 75
- Aug 05, 2022
He sang with Peace Power, Purity and Buster Brown between 1971 and 1975, where he played with future AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd for a short time. In 1976 Gary "Angry" Anderson joined the newly formed Australian Heavy Rock band Rose Tattoo, where he still roars into the microphone ("Nice Boys Don't Play Rock'n'Roll"). While AC/DC already incarnated a certain anti-Rock star image at the end of the seventies with their rough style, the wild ruffians of Rose Tattoo went one better. Their music was a crazy mix of Blues, Punk and Heavy Metal that became the blueprint for all later Punk'n'roll bands. Angry Anderson, vocally similarly broken as Bon Scott, became synonymous with drastic vocal art from Australia with the former AC/DC singer. Angry Anderson will be 75 years old on August 5.
