Zu hören ist Cartwright auf LIVE IN CONCERT (1972), GRAND HOTEL (1973), EXOTIC BIRDS AND FRUIT (1974) sowie PROCOL‘S NINTH (1975). Band-Chef Gary Brooker bezeichnete Cartwright in einem Nachruf als „soliden Musiker“ und „zuverlässigen Bassisten“.
It has been announced that former Procol Harum bassist Alan Cartwright has already passed away on March 4 at the age of 75. The musician joined the British Progressive Rock band in 1971 and stayed until 1976, appearing on LIVE IN CONCERT (1972), GRAND HOTEL (1973), EXOTIC BIRDS AND FRUIT (1974) and PROCOL'S NINTH (1975). In an obituary, band leader Gary Brooker called Cartwright a "solid musician" and "reliable bass player."
