Titelzeilen wie "Dancing On Graves" oder "Dead For Years" sprachen Bände.
Charge started as a Punk band in 1977 and released the wild live album CAGED & STAGED in 1980 - with recordings from Schorndorf and Nagold in Germany. At that time guitarist Stu (he later called himself Stu P. Didiot) was still singing. 1982 saw the release of their only studio album, PERFECTION, which presented a completely different band. Tempo out, aggressiveness gone, distortion unplugged and lights off. The result was a dark, depressive work of art that became a pioneering act of Dark Wave and Goth Rock. Title lines like "Dancing On Graves" or "Dead For Years" spoke volumes.
