Der kanadische Sänger und Gitarrist beeindruckte aber nicht nur als Musiker, sondern schrieb einer Reihe von Künstlerkollegen maßgebliche Songs. Dazu gehörten unter anderem Blue Öyster Cult, Celine Dion, Jon Bon Jovi, Faith Hill, Saints & Sinners oder Garou. Aldo Novas Debüt von 1982, das er zusammen mit Jon Bon Jovi komponierte, erreichte in den US-Album-Charts Rang acht und fuhr dort zweimal Platin ein. Besonders erfolgreich war er in den Achtzigern darüber hinaus in seiner Heimat Kanada und in der Schweiz. Mit LIFE AND TIMES OF EDDIE GAGE erschien 2020 sein bisher letztes Album.
