Seinen 70. Geburtstag begeht am 29. August der Gitarrist Geoff Whitehorn. Seine flexible, Jazz-orientierte Spielweise machte ihn zu einem gefragten Mitmusiker. Er spielte bei If, ersetzte Paul Kossoff bei den Crawler, wurde Mitglied von Roger Chapman‘s Shortlist und ist seit 1991 bei Procol Harum. Whitehorn hatte darüber hinaus unter anderem Jobs bei Jethro Tull, Bad Company, The Who, Manfred Man‘s Earth Band, Paul McCartney oder Roger Waters.
