Hank Marvin, langjähriges Mitglied der Shadows, wird am 28. Oktober 80 Jahre alt. Er stieß 1958 zu den Drifters, die wenig später die Shadows wurden und Cliff Richard begleiteten. Marvin spielte bei den Shadows die Lead-Gitarre, Keyboards und steuerte Gesangsparts bei. 1968 lösten sich die Shadows zum ersten Mal auf, was Marvin zur Produktion seiner ersten Solo-LP nutzte. 1969 war er bei der Wiedervereinigung der Shadows dabei, um die Band ein Jahr später schon wieder zu verlassen.
