"Whiskey In The Jar" und "The Rocker" sind zwei Songs, die er als erster Thin-Lizzy-Gitarrist mit seinem Spiel deutlich prägte: Eric Bell. Er wird am 3. September 75 Jahre alt. In Belfast geboren, gründete er 1969 die irische Band gemeinsam mit Sänger und Bassist Phil Lynott. Er spielte mit Thin Lizzy drei Alben ein, gründete seine eigene Formation und stieg 1974 bei der Noel-Redding-Band ein, die zwei Alben veröffentlichte, bevor sie sich 1976 wieder auflöste. In den Achtzigern begleitete er Bo Diddley, reaktivierte die Eric Bell Band und nahm mit ihr mehrere Alben auf.
