Sängerin Vicki Peterson gehört zum Personalstamm der Bangles seit Gründung 1981 und feierte mit der Frauen-Band in den Achtzigern Riesenerfolge. Einige ihrer Singles wurden so populär, dass sie gefühlt jeder mitsingen oder -tanzen konnte: das von Prince geschriebene "Manic Monday" (USA #2, UK #2, D #2), "Walk Like An Egyptian" (beide 1986, USA #1, UK #3, D #1), "Eternal Flame" (1989, USA #1, UK #1, D #4). 1989 trennte sich die Gruppe, kam aber knapp zehn Jahre später wieder zusammen und existiert bis heute. Vicki Peterson spielte zwischenzeitlich ab und zu mit den Continental Driters, lernte Susan Cowsill von den Cowsills kennen und gründete mit ihr die Psycho Sisters. Darüber hinaus heiratete sie 2003 John Cowsill. Vicki Peterson wird am 11. Januar 65 Jahre alt.
