DER EWIGE WINTER-BRUDER WURDE 75
Jens-Uwe BerndtTeilen
Edgar Winter, der Bruder von Johnny Winter, wurde am 28. Dezember 75 Jahre alt.
Edgar Winter, the brother of Johnny Winter, turns 75 on December 28. Although Edgar showed early ambitions to pursue his own career, he was always in the shadow of his famous brother in the media. This was partly due to the fact that Edgar could not shine as a guitarist, because his main instrument was the saxophone. Curiously, Edgar Winter succeeded in contrast to his brother with "Frankenstein" 1973 a number one in the American singles charts. Since 1970 Edgar Winter has been releasing records. Most of them as a soloist, some with White Trash, as Edgar Winter Group or together with Johnny, Rick Derringer or Steve Lukather.
