50 years ago, on October 29, 1971, guitarist Duane Allman was killed in a motorcycle accident in Macon, Georgia. The musician belonged to the Allman Brothers Band and was considered one of the greatest guitar talents of his time. Allman played with Eric Clapton, Johnny Winter, for the Beatles, with Derek & The Dominos, for Wilson Pickett, Delaney & Bonnie, Aretha Franklin and many others. Three weeks later Duane Allman would have turned 25.
