In Großbritannien war Chandler 1978 mit der Disco-Nummer "Get Down" (#11) und 1980 mit Disco-Soul vom Schlage "Does She Have A Friend?" (#28) erfolgreich. Bis Mitte der Neunziger veröffentlichte er qualitativ ansprechende Alben, 2015 beendete er offiziell seine Tour-Aktivitäten. Am 6. Juli feierte der Sänger seinen 85. Geburtstag.
