VOM GOTHIC ZUM GLAM - BALAAM & THE ANGEL AUS DEN 80s WURDEN VERGESSEN

When you talk about forgotten bands, Balaam & The Angel are guaranteed to be in the top 20. Yet the Brits have not only released great albums, but have also known how to added innovation to the respective genres they played. Founded in 1983, the band sorted itself early in the so-called Gothic Rock and sounded on their first releases like a peculiar cross between Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark and The Cult. At the end of the eighties they became harder and harder, finally arriving at Glam Metal and calling themselves just Balaam. However, their '93 album PRIME TIME flopped completely, so the group has continued since then merely as a recreational project for a few nostalgic live gigs.
