US-PUNK-PIONIER THUNDERS STARB VOR 30 JAHREN
Teilen
The Toten Hosen have not been a Punk band for 30 years - at least if you take Campino at his word, who sang "As long as Johnny Thunders lives/So long I remain a Punk" in "Wort zum Sonntag" in 1986. And Johnny Thunders, original member of the New York Dolls, died on April 23, 1991, presumably of a drug overdose at just 38 years old. Thunders was considered a pioneer of the American Punk scene, released albums with his Heartbreakers in the second half of the seventies, played sporadically in various bands in the eighties and pursued a solo career rather inconsistently.
