SYLVIA PETERSON VON DEN CHIFFONS WURDE 75
Jens-Uwe BerndtTeilen
Jahre alt geworden.
Sylvia Petersons was already a member of the Chiffons when the debut single "He's So Fine" appeared in January 1963, with which the Girl Group topped the U.S. singles charts at a stroke - and which twelve years later plunged ex-Beatle George Harrison into a creative crisis when he lost a plagiarism case in court, in which it was established that "My Sweet Lord" had been unconsciously (!) copied from the Chiffons hit. The singer had joined the group, formed two years earlier, in 1962 - and ended up staying until 1992. She turned 75 on September 30.
