Bereits am 15. Januar ist der US-amerikanische Musiker und Songwriter Jon Lind mit 73 Jahren an Krebs gestorben. Zwar strebte Lind in den Sechzigern und Siebzigern noch eine eigene Musiker-Karriere an, erwarb sich aber vor allem als Songwriter einen Namen. So war er unter anderem an den Songs “Boogie Wonderland“ von Earth Wind & Fire, “Crazy For You“ von Madonna oder “Kiss To Kiss“ von Cher beteiligt.
In den 60s zog Jon Lind als Folk-Sänger durch die Clubs, wurde 1974 Mitglied der Folk-Rock-Band Howdy Moon, spielte bei The Fifth Avenue Band, schrieb Songs für The Emotions, Cheap Trick, The Temptations oder Vanessa Williams, um nur einige zu nennen.
