In 1982, Nicky Moore replaced future Iron Maiden singer Bruce Dickinson in Samson and sang on two studio albums for the British Heavy Metal institution until his first exit in the late 1980s. Prior to Samson, Moore had a career with the Heavy Blues Rock formation Hackensack. He had founded this in 1969 and released an album, UP THE HARD WAY, in 1974. The band broke up and Nicky Moore joined Tiger. It was then in the eighties, however, Samson, which made him known in the Heavy Rock scene. At the end of the eighties he sang with Mammoth, of which two LPs were released with him. Since 1994 he ran Nicky Moore's Blues Corporation. On August 2, the singer died at the age of 75.
