1982 ersetzte Nicky Moore den späteren Iron Maiden-Sänger Bruce Dickinson bei Samson und sang für die britische Heavy-Metal-Institution bis zu seinem ersten Ausstieg Ende der Achtziger zwei Studio-Alben ein. Vor Samson hatte Moore eine Karriere bei der Heavy-Blues-Rock-Formation Hackensack. Die hatte er 1969 gegründet., 1974 erschien mit UP THE HARD WAY ein Album. Die Band lief auseinander und Nicky Moore stieg bei Tiger ein. Es wurden dann in den Achtzigern aber Samson, die ihn in der Heavy-Rock-Szene bekannt werden ließen. Ende der Achtziger sang er bei Mammoth, von denen mit ihm zwei LPs erschienen. Seit 1994 betrieb er Nicky Moore's Blues Corporation. Am 2. August ist der Sänger mit 75 Jahren gestorben.
