Recorded in July 1973 on three evenings at New York's Madison Square Garden as the conclusion of the then Led Zeppelin tour through the States, the corresponding film "The Song Remains The Same" was released in American cinemas on October 20, 1976, exactly 45 years ago. While the production is said to have cost $85.000 on the nights, the film grossed $12 million at the box office. The accompanying album had already hit the stores a month earlier.
