Mick Jagger, Stevie Nicks, Aretha Franklin, Jon Bon Jovi). Dave Stewart wird am 9. September 70 Jahre alt.
A large part of Dave Stewart's musical output is associated with Annie Lennox. When they gained attention with The Tourists in 1977, they were already lovers. In 1980, the duo founded the New Wave formation Eurythmics and achieved worldwide fame. They wrote the songs on their albums together, starting with idiosyncratic New Wave ideas, storming the charts with Synth Pop anthems and later operating between Soul and Electronic. In Great Britain, they had three number one albums and a top position in the singles charts with "There Mus Be An Angel" in 1985. In the U.S., the Eurythmics achieved this commercial success in 1983 with "Sweet Dreams." In Germany, the duo's fan base was also huge, with almost every album reaching the Top Ten, and GREATEST HITS even reaching one in 1991. The band experienced its first split in 1990, reunited in 1999, split again in 2005, and finally performed select shows in 2014 and 2019. Annie Lennox pursued an extremely successful solo career over the years. Dave Stewart also released a number of solo albums, but gained a considerable reputation primarily as a songwriter and producer. He wrote music for film and theater, composed a musical, founded a record company and was a guest musician on the records of other artists (including Mick Jagger, Stevie Nicks, Aretha Franklin, Jon Bon Jovi). Dave Stewart will be 70 years old on September 9.
