Verdammt! So alt wollte sie doch gar nicht werden - zumindest augenscheinlich nicht. Aber auch an Cher nagte der Zahn der Zeit - und am 20. Mai wird sie 75 Jahre alt. Aber bei all den Liebschaften und Partnern (unter anderem Gene Simmons, Gregg Allman, Ritchie Sambora, Tom Cruise ...) und den Schönheitsoperationen (mindestens 25) war Cher eine außergewöhnliche Sängerin. Ob im Duett im Sonny Bono, ob Solo, ob als Pop-Star oder Rock-Röhre - Cher passte in jede Rolle und lieferte fast ausschließlich allerhöchste Qualität ab. Es wäre müßig, an dieser Stelle ihr Schaffen aufzulisten, trotzdem sei auf ihren Beitrag als Sängerin der Hard-Rock-Band Black Rose hingewiesen. Die hatte ihr damaliger Partner Les Dudek gegründet. 1980 entstand das einzige, BLACK ROSE betitelte Album.

But with all the love affairs and partners (including Gene Simmons, Gregg Allman, Ritchie Sambora, Tom Cruise ...) and plastic surgery (at least 25) Cher was an extraordinary singer. Whether in a duet in Sonny Bono, whether solo, whether as a Pop star or Rock singer - Cher fit into any role and delivered almost exclusively the very highest quality. It would be idle to list her work here, but her contribution as the singer of the Hard Rock band Black Rose is worth mentioning. This band was founded by her partner at the time, Les Dudek. In 1980 the band recorded the only album entitled BLACK ROSE.
