BARRY RYAN MIT 72 JAHREN VERSTORBEN
- Sep 30, 2021
"Elloise" became his destiny in 1968: Barry Ryan reached the Top 3 in all relevant European singles charts (D #1, UK #2) with this little melodramatic Pop symphony. He was never able to repeat the success of his debut, although single number 2, "Love Is Love", became another sure Top 10 success in the same year. After that, Ryan rarely appeared in the Top 50, but at least had a number 8 in Germany in 1971 with the German-sung Pop song "Zeit macht nur vor dem Teufel halt" and a number 2 in France with "Red Man."
Barry Ryan, who had started his career as a duo with his twin brother Paul in the 60s, retired from the music business at the end of the seventies and started performing again in the nineties.
He passed away on September 28 at the age of 72.
